Andrea Thornhill

Andrea Thornhill (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist in Toronto, Ontario. Andrea graduated from City University London, UK and has worked with adults in hospital rehabilitation and in the community. Andrea is an advocate of working collaboratively and professionally with clients and caregivers to create practical goals.
In Andrea’s career, she has developed experience in cognitive communication, stuttering and stammering, motor speech and articulation, dysphagia, aphasia, and accent expansion. Andrea believes in the philosophy “everyone deserves a voice.” She is currently training to work with gender expansive clients to provide the highest standard of gender affirming voice and communication care. Andrea is also enthusiastic about working with adults to level up their skills in workplace communication.
Prior to a career as a speech language pathologist, Andrea completed an undergraduate degree at University of Toronto in Biology with a focus in language acquisition, adult learning principles and communications skills. Her postgraduate dissertation focused on communication in individuals with high level cognitive skills post stroke.
When she is not working as a speech therapist, Andrea can be found in the kitchen baking, in a yoga class with her favourite yogi, skating, or trying to learn a foreign language.
